It was a warm day for her 8 month birthday. So we have outside pictures. She is 2/3 of a year old! However, we've only had her for 1/3 all to ourselves. It's been a good time. Karsie has been handling the first part of her condensed feeding wonderfully. It's been nice having her off the tube for a few hours at a time. Tomorrow we increase again to two hours on. The big jump doesn't happen until Monday, but each increase is a bit interesting. So far so good.
Karsie LOVED her seat in the grass. 
She is getting so big! YAY! What a little cutie.
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable! I love the bumbo. I really wish we could get one for Fiona, even though she won't be using it for awhile. I'm just not sure it would work because her O is long and narrow instead of flatter to her tummy. Glad to see Karsie is doing so well! It gives me hope to see her and think that Fiona will be doing the things she is doing soon! And I love the numbers for the months, so cute!

ReplyDeleteYou know, one of the most amazing things about those beautiful pictures is that Pinky seems to almost blend in. Has "it" gone down in size a lot? Or maybe as Karsie gains weight she's growing around it? I don't know, but in the pictures she just looks like a cutie-chubby girl. And who doesn't love a chubby baby? Happy 8 months Karsie, you inspire us all!!!
ReplyDeleteThis will answer both Jen's question and make the comment we would like to make to Meghan and Josh O'Dell: Pinky definitely has shrunk/changed shapes. In fact, if you look at Karsie's omphalocele earlier in the blog (say September/October) you will see a very tall and narrow omphalocele - one that would not fit in the bumbo. However, as she has grown the organs start to move and fill into her body. It's definitely still there and is a nuisance as it gets in the way of crawling and such, but it is way smaller than it was. In fact, the skin around the sides and top is real wrinkly at times because of the shrinking.
