Speedy Stats...

As of this afternoon:

Up to 28mL of 24cal/oz Elecare/Duocal formula.
Breastfeeding like a champ when she is allowed to!
Gaining steadily... up over 9lbs, gaining around 25 grams each night.
Gagging every once in a while... but responding well to being vented. Prayers that she continues to respond well to venting!
Skin is growing well and healing as well as her recent surgery incision and g-tube site.
PICC line is now gone :)
Happy girl!

  4. Since Karsie cannot burp or spit-up, we have to give her an outlet for any gas that builds up in her tummy. When we vent her g-tube we open the tube up to the air, so food can continue to go in and gasses from her tummy can come out. We are essentially burping her, but we just hold her tube open with a syringe (without the plunger).
