To all friends and family: This blog is intended to keep all of you posted on information, updates, and thoughts from the Turner family as we work to bring Karsie into this world. To all who have been supportive through prayer, kind words, and hugs we both want to say "Thank you" from the bottom of our hearts. This has been and will continue to be a very trying time for us and every act of love from you has given us inspiration and strength. -Kevin, Michelle, & Karsie-
Can you send one to me? I'd love to where it.
ReplyDeleteCan you send one to me too? I'll happily pay for it and the shipping.

Absolutely! In fact, we probably should have mentioned that. We have lots extra and if you're in the San Diego area hit us up. Or, if you're in the Bakersfield area, hit the Bentley's up...or Kevin when he's down there. If not, we might have to do a self-addressed stamped envelope type of thing. Just let us know.
ReplyDeleteI was reading your blog about not being able to hold Karsie and you guys wanting to talk to the doctor about it. Did you do that and will you get to hold her now more often???

wear it. I'd love to wear it. Not "where" it. I'm going insane, apparently, and can no longer think clearly.
ReplyDeleteGive some bracelets to Dorene for those of us at Glendora Community Church. Karsie is on our prayer chain and we can promote more prayer with the prayer bracelets. Is there a fund started to help you deal with all of the expenses of traveling back and forth? What will happen when school starts and Kevin has to go back to teaching? Joan Simons
ReplyDeleteJenna - yes we did talk to the doctors about it. They left it up to the surgeons and the surgeons are saying no for now, but we are having a meeting with the surgeon tomorrow (hopefully) so we will ask exactly what it will take for him to be okay with it.
ReplyDeleteJoan - We will definitely send some up with her. There hasn't been a fund started. When I go back to school (this Friday) I will be going to San Diego every weekend. A few Fridays I will take off to have a tad longer to stay here with Karsie and Michelle, but mostly there will be a lot of back and forth.
Yay for the prayer bracelets! Todd and Becky: Thank you so much for doing this! Karsie is constantly in our thoughts and prayers, and it's nice to have a little reminder of her every time I see the bracelet.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, I want one of those bracelets too. I feel like I am a member of your family now. I can not start my day without reading about Karsie. Praise God for all that he has done for her. Kevin, tell your mom I would really like one of those bracelets.

I'm so happy that people are wearing their bracelets!! That was our prayer! I love seeing people that we don't even know, wearing them and praying for Karsie!!!
